Founded in 2000 by Rupert and JoAnn Reyes, Austin’s premier Latino theater company has brought to life over 24 colorful productions to the city. Committed from the beginning to developing a new theatrical aesthetic that is based on and draws from the culture, history and mythology of Latino experience, Teatro Vivo continues to be one of the only bilingual Latino theater companies in the state of Texas.
The partnership between Teatro Vivo and Texas Tower PR allowed us to expand the magic of the stage to their social media channels. Texas Tower PR also provided event planning, media relations, graphic design, content development and comprehensive publicity strategies.
Committed to keeping the music playing in Austin, the Health Alliance for Austin musicians provides access to affordable health care for Austin’s low income, uninsured, working musicians. With a focus on prevention and wellness, the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians has helped over 3,000 music artists. The 2016-2017 school year marks the start of a partnership designed to advance their content strategy and public relations efforts.
Manos de Cristo empowers low-income individuals with a loving hand of assistance and welcomes all regardless of age, gender, race, or religious preference. Inspired by the Christian ideals of service and compassion, Manos promotes dignity and self-reliance by providing essential oral care, furthering educational development, and meeting basic needs with food and clothing.
PAWS of Austin (Protection of Animal Welfare Services) is a rescue organization that provides refuge to stray and unwanted animals, prevents cruelty and promotes humane standards through education efforts. PAWS joined our family of clients midway through last semester, and we are excited for the magic that will happen during Fall 2016.
Sunshine Community Gardens is an urban oasis for growing organic food and flowers. Through its parent organization, Community Garden Initiative of Central Texas, the gardens offer educational opportunities with tours, donations of seed and plants, and a meeting space for other non-profits. In addition, a number of plots are set aside as designated gardens to grow fresh produce for the Micah 6 Food Bank.
The Financial Literacy Coalition of Central Texas offers free, unbiased financial education classes and resources to Central Texas. Participants in FLCCT’s classes gain a better understanding of the consumer marketplace and the economic environment while learning skills necessary to take charge of their financial situations, plan for the future and avoid financial predators.
Austin Speech Labs is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides intensive speech and cognitive therapy for stroke survivors. They opened our doors in 2008 and have been growing ever since. The organization believes that all stroke survivors, regardless of where they are in their recovery or their economic situation, should receive as much therapy as they need to find their words.
Con Mi Madre empowers young Latinas with their mothers help through educational and social support services that increase these young Latinas success in post-secondary education.
